How to Build an Engaged Audience through Content Marketing.

Content marketing encompasses blog articles, guides, case studies and social media tactics. You will use these elements in combination to build an audience.  Offer valuable content for your audience. Help them solve a problem, share tips, and offer insider information. In this post we will discuss some simple ways on how to build an engaged audience by enhancing three specific content marketing techniques.

Whether it's a blog post or a whitepaper, your content should always:

Have an attention grabbing headline. 80% of people will read your headline, but only 20% will continue on to read the rest of your copy.

Have succinct copy. People tend to scan articles and posts rather than read them fully. Here, the use of bulleted points come in handy!

Have proper promotion. Be creative and optimize your audience's reach by using social media to direct traffic to your blog. Be wise to use the online resources available to you to promote your content.

The best social sites for promotion (and this may be obvious) are Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIN. The key here, however, is to know out of these where your audience will be most prevalent? On which do they spend most of their time?  On which will they be most likely to share your content to their friends and personal audience? From there you can decide how to devote your time between these sites.  You don't want to be promoting in the wrong places!

Also, It is important to know the type of audience you're after in order to gain a following. Knowing the needs of your readers will make it easier to come up with new and compelling content.  Find the relevance between what you want to say and what your audience wants to hear and create content that will benefit both parties. A strong and captivated audience will benefit not just the success of your blog, but your business as a whole.

By ensuring your content is eye-catching, easy to read, and well promoted you will build a following that is genuinely interested in your company!
